Jasper John

Jasper John is a painter - an abrstract expressionist. A lot of his work he uses numbers and letters. I find his work relevant to mine, as I'm looking into cut out words to create a neck brace or piece of armour on a human figure… using paper mache. However his colours are very bold and brave, and it looks like theyre painted on using his fingers. I’ll not focus so much on the metallic ideas, as i think if i used his colours and finger painting it'll look rough and grainy - completely different approach.
